Plantable Seed Paper Placecard - White Wedding Escort Card - Tented Place Card
If you are planning an eco-friendly wedding, you will love these plantable seed paper placecards as much as I do! I make these lovely rustic cards using post consumer waste paper and high quality paper scraps that would otherwise be sent to landfills. You can do so much with these lovely cards to match your wedding design aesthetic! Use a metallic paint pen to really make these cards pop! Add markers to let caterers know about food allergies or dietary restrictions! Best all, help your guests get to know one of another. My favorite feature of these seed paper place cards is that, because they have wildflower seeds embedded, they can double as a take home favor! The cards are 3 inches by 3 inches when flat, 3 inches by 3 inches when folded in half. They are a lovely neutral shade of white. Each order contains ten cards.
My cards are made using a variety of paper upcycled paper sources, including junk mail and scraps from other paper projects available elsewhere in my shop.
The cards are embedded with a mix of organic wildflower seeds including calendula, cornflower, siberian sunflower, shasta daisy, lance leaf coreopsis, plains coreopsis, cosmos, sulphur cosmos, giant larkspur, Russian Mammoth sunflower, sweet william, purple cornflower, california poppy, blanketflower, annual baby's breath, dwarf sunspot, candytuft, rose mallow, blue flax, scarlet flax, perennial lupine, love-in-a-mist, baby blue eyes, shirley poppy, mexican hat, gloriosa daisy, black-eyed susan, catchfly, white yarrow, wild columbine, siberian wallflower, godetia, farewell-to-spring, Chinese houses, rocket larkspur, foxglove, perennial gaillardia, moutain phlox, baby snapdragon, sweet alyssum, annual lupine, baby blue eyes, evening primrose, red poppy, none-so-pretty, hollyhock, china aster, mountain garland, bird's eyes, globe gilia, virginia stock, four o'clocks, crimson clover and tall marigolds. Most seeds are grown by American Meadows.
You can write a table number on the place card or wedding details and your guests can plant them come autumn! You can use whatever type of ink you'd like on these cards and it won't feather or bleed.
Each order comes with the following planting poem that you can use as much or as little as you'd like:
In this paper little seeds lie in wait
To be planted in your garden or, perhaps, near your gate.
Find a nice spot and cover with a quarter inch of dirt
... And a little bit of water sure wouldn't hurt!
Soon you'll spend a beautiful day under the sky
In your new patch of flowers, like cosmos, daisies and catchfly!
