Rising Phoenix Art Exchange
Rising Phoenix Art Exchange (RPAE) is a collection of creators which includes professional artists, part time artisans, weekend dabblers, and patrons of the art who want a safe and judgment free place to practice and improve upon our skills. Each month we come together to create for one another, encourage one another, work together, and make beautiful things with one another. Do you paint, draw, sew, sculpt, design graphically, design OOAK jewelry, knit, etc? Well, then you have come to the right place! So let me tell you a little bit about how it works, cause I can't wait to get you started and see what you come up with.
First thing's first, we will need you to fill out our short bio form, here:https://goo.gl/forms/EjG3yDSni0nY50z83 This form is meant to tell the person assigned to create for you a little bit about you. This part only needs to be completed once, unless you need to make changes to it (ie, if you move, we'll definitely need your new mailing address to send your awesome art to!).
Each month an event will be posted in the group outlining the next month's THEME. Themes will vary month to month, and are meant to be used as a loose guide to help you get inspired. As you are the artist, you are free to interpret the month's theme in any way that you see fit! We will occasionally have Open Theme months where your ideas can really take flight. Within this event, there will be a link to sign up to participate. Participation won't be implied, you will need to sign up each month individually to be assigned a person to create for.
Using the monthly theme, and the bio that you receive with your assignment, you will create original art. At the end of the month, you will be required to send what you've created to the person that you are assigned. Tracking numbers will be required when you ship your art, and you will submit these numbers here: https://goo.gl/forms/pwbkqcvjHslhSjP82 We also ask that you email us a photo of your finished work to email@example.com for us to post in your individual artist's albums. If you want your art to be viewed on the page (and we really, really want to see it!) you will have to submit your photos to us.
When you receive your work, we'd love to see you post it and hear your respectful thoughts on what you received! Posting the work you receive will not be required, but will be viewed as good conduct. Treat others how you'd like to be treated, and we'd all love to know that the person we created for loved what they got, right?
The deadlines for all of these things will be the same month to month:
**1st of the month: Sign ups close
**By the 5th of the month: Assignments are sent
**By the 15th of the month: Sign ups for the following month will open
**28th of the month: Tracking numbers and photos for shipped art are due.
